![]() This ATEM Mini Extreme, when pretty maxed out, will run smoothly - though it will get hot. It’s quite a challenge to push a hardware switcher beyond what it was made to do. While these two do not quite compare in terms of price, they do compare in what I can achieve with them. On the software side, I have opted to use vMix on my custom built PC. On the hardware side, I have the ATEM Mini Extreme. It’s even hard to pick a comparison point for this kind of video, but I decided to use what I have here in the tiny studio. Quite honestly, the last thing I want to do is paint one as the hero and the other as the villain - so instead, stick around for details and specifics about each method.
